I came across this DIY, natural flea-repelling dog shampoo that I could easily make (and can re-make any time I run out)! I combined the following in a spray bottle.
· 20 ounces of warm water · 4 ounces of Aloe Vera gel · 2 tablespoon of Castile soap · 5 drops of lavender essential oil (feel free to choose any essential oil that pleases your nose) I found it odd that the soap contained that much water and was that fluid, but surprisingly, it made the application much easier. I wet Snoop with warm water, sprayed the soap onto his coat and worked it through, like I usually do when bathing him. Because Snoop has that thick, fluffy Aussie fur, it usually takes some time to rinse all the soap off him; I typically miss a few spots. However, this homemade soap rinsed off just as easy as it went on. I purchased all the ingredients at my local Neighborhood Walmart, except for the Castile soap. I chose to buy it from GNC because they had the lavender scented one (which I wanted to reinforce the lavender scent in the shampoo).
